Kickstarter Update: 1/3 in and 2/3 funded!

This is how good today feels!

Tessalation! is 1/3 into its Kickstarter campaign and 2/3 funded!

It's pretty common knowledge among Kickstarter creators that campaigns tend to have a plateau in the middle of the campaign before spiking again at the end. I'm preparing for that by keeping Tessa in the news over the next couple of weeks. Here's some things I'm doing.

• I have an article coming up on Jane Friedman's independent publishing blog about my first week on Kickstarter. If you don't know Jane, she's a leading voice in indie publishing. If you're in this field, or just interested, do sign up for her newsletters, which really set the tone for conversations in self-publishing.
• I'm talking about Tessalation! tomorrow with Joel Zak of "Talking Art" at 9:05 PST on KMUZ.org.You can stream live from anywhere!
• Part of my vision for Tessa is that the book will inspire kids to get outside and fall in love with nature. This weekend I'm launching #TessaHikes with Shanti Hodges of Hike It Baby, an international organization supporting families that want to get outdoors together. There will be patterns! @hikeitbaby
