No, but it will be, soon. We are on Kickstarter!

The text is completed and the illustrations are half-finished. Our current plan for publication is to put out a digital version at several retailers online and then publish a limited first edition run in paper form for the oodles of friends and fans who love this project.

When will it be available?

That depends. We're exploring our publishing options right now. On the creative end, this book is close to completion. We are just waiting for the cover design! We'll update this page as our quest continues.

How can I use this in my classroom?

Many teachers we have spoken to have said that 4th grade is a good time to incorporate the idea of tessellations into lesson plans. For these children, it would be fun and instructive to read the book and then spend some time trying to create their own tessellations. For smaller children, it is enough just to read the book with them and point to the patterns. As a fun add-on, you could take your small children around the house to show them the tessellations that exist there in wallpaper, curtains, carpet, or elsewhere.

How do I make my own tessellation?

Part of this project will be to create simple instructions that will go in the back of the book so teachers can make tessellations with their students. But until that is ready, here is a simple instruction.
